About Iris
I am fascinated by letters, cultures, people, and their worlds. I believe everyone has something they can show the world, something they can teach, and that drives me to continue learning and studying, discovering new things every day, and asking questions.
I can lose myself in a book for hours, translating stories into my native language or other languages, simply because I enjoy learning something new.
I believe it is my duty to society to be the thread that connects the differences between cultures, so that there are no misunderstandings. I think that if I have the ability to think in multiple languages and make myself understood in them, I should use it to bring all interested people closer to their desired goal.
I am a person who likes art; a person who loves writing; a person who is open-minded. For this reason, everyone will have a place in my classes.
Although I come from Spain, I currently live in Germany (I work as an au pair). I love this country and this language, but I want to (and will) continue to improve my German language skills.
I also love Portuguese; for me, this language is the language of love, and I enjoy writing poems in Portuguese.

After many years of teaching privately, I can say that it is my ability to communicate with people, my calmness, my listening skills, and my understanding of the learners' needs that distinguish me as a teacher, because I have also been in their position.
I follow a communicative approach where the student takes the lead in the class, setting the pace and even the topics. As the instructor, I accompany you throughout the entire learning process and support you as needed.
I believe that the teacher is also a student, and for this reason the classroom should have a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
