About Sarah
I have a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Flagler College and a Master of Fine Arts in Writing from Savannah College of Art and Design. I've worked previously as a college essay writing tutor with Tutor.com and I've worked as a middle school and high school substitute teacher. I love giving feedback and helping people improve their writing skills. I'm very encouraging and detailed in my feedback, but I'll never be overly harsh or critical. I also love giving book recommendations!

My teaching methodology is personalized to meet your individual needs. A typical lesson plan for essay writing could include creating an outline for your essay, how to organize/craft an essay (I usually recommend the standard 5 paragraph essay format, with an introductory paragraph, three body paragraphs, and a conclusion), grammar and proofreading, and how to cite your sources. For creative writing, a typical lesson might look like creating an outline for your story, creating a character study, going over story structure, and giving feedback.
I'm very patient and I'll work with you depending on your learning style. I'll also point you in the right direction when it comes to additional resources that might help you with your writing journey.
My lessons might be best for college level adults or even adults without college level experience who might want to improve their writing skills.
