Whatever your goal, I can help you learn the skills to achieve it. Need to practice your conversational English or even a specialized category such as business, law, or medicine? I have training in teaching English through conversation.
Need to learn how to write an essay, report, or memo? Whether you're starting from scratch or need specific advice on a current project, I can help you.
I am a learner centered tutor and tailor my feedback to you and your goals.
Specifically, we will identify your goal, what mode of feedback would best help you reach that goal, and how to practice the skills to achieve that goal. For example, if you wanted help with writing a strong term paper, we would first identify what you already know (e.g. outlining, research, topic choice, etc.). From there I would provide specific feedback that you could actually act on. For instance, rather than leave comments like, "more analysis," I would say, "this is a great place to provide an insight of your own: what do you think is important?"
This same model is how I would approach most lessons. We'd identify your objective, recognize the skills you have, then use those skills to develop the skills you need to achieve your goal.
