About Lauren
I live in central Oxford where I am currently studying for an MPhil (2-year Masters programme) in Modern Languages at the university. My research interests revolve around contemporary Italian and Argentine literature, focusing on authors such as Jorge Luis Borges and Italo Calvino.
I would love to tutor you in Spanish and/or Italian because teaching gives me great joy; I have recently been helping my mum learn Spanish. I am very open and friendly and have been told that I'm good at explaining how the languages work to native-English speakers; for example, explaining complex grammatical rules in the two languages in a way that equates it to how we speak in English. When teaching, I always strive to remember what I used to find difficult when I myself was learning the two languages, and adapt my explanations accordingly.
I will also always cater our lessons to whatever you feel as though you would like to practise. We can do lessons that are 100% speaking, grammar, reading, or listening, or a mix - it's up to you! :)

I have previously tutored secondary school children working towards their GCSE and A-Levels in Spanish, and I have also tutored children in Madrid, Spain, in English.
I am happy to tutor people of all ages working towards any qualification, for however long they would like. I'm very open and flexible.
I graduated from UCL last year with a BA in Italian and Spanish, so I speak the two languages fluently and have a native-level competency in writing and grammar.
