My lessons are based on the Suzuki method, which emphasizes ear training and requires a healthy interaction between student, parent and teacher, or whoever is involved in the lessons. Although younger students typically focus on ear training early on, all students are encouraged to continue developing their listening skills along side reading and playing. I am willing to teach from Suzuki curriculum or other curriculum students bring to me.
I am a graduate student in Psychology of Music with 14 years experience teaching violin, piano, music theory and English. At age 6, I began lessons and by age 9, I began tutoring and teaching students in my teachers' studios. I maintained an intense involvement in music in secondary school and continued playing in orchestras throughout university and my postgraduate degree.
