About Ophelia
I am a musician with a degree in classical singing from the Royal Northern College of Music. I have been singing my whole life but only decided to take up classical music in my late teens, so I had to put in a lot of work to achieve the level I needed to for conservatoire auditions!
I firmly believe that singing is one of the best things a person can do for themself, regardless of whether you plan to attend music college, headline Glastonbury one day or simply want to be able sing well for yourself and your friends - whatever the motivation, singing has so many benefits I couldn't possibly list them all here.
I have a keen interest in languages and culture, I sing in a variety of languages including French, Italian, German, Latin, and Spanish. I have written/composed a range of pieces from orchestral sonatas to folk songs to jazz which have all helped my overall musical understanding. My personal influences include Netania Davrath, Ella Fitzgerald, and Etta James to name only three - I would love to know what music prompted you to consider singing lessons!

I look forward to welcoming new singing enthusiasts to my lessons (including online lessons), which is open to students of any age, skill level, and location.
I am excited to share my knowledge gained through my degree in classical singing from the Royal Northern College of Music. Together, we can focus on any of the following areas of singing: classical, jazz, choral, contemporary, and pop. There is also the option to learn beginner self-accompaniment on piano alongside singing lessons.
I take pride in tailoring my lessons to suit the ambitions and interests of my students with a core focus on building confidence, instilling healthy and sustainable vocal habits, and (most importantly) enjoyment!
