About Tom
I am a graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and a professional tenor with the Opera North Chorus.
Alongside performing, I have a passion for teaching guitar and enjoy helping people discover the joy of playing the guitar in a relaxed and supportive environment.
I specialise in teaching complete beginners of all ages. Whether you’re picking up a guitar for the first time, returning after a break, or learning a new hobby, lessons are tailored to your individual goals and taught at a pace that suits you.
Whether you’re interested in acoustic or classical guitar, lessons are designed around the music you’d like to play. We can cover chords, strumming, fingerpicking, reading music, and developing the confidence to play independently. If you’re learning classical guitar, I can also help you work towards graded examinations.
My aim is to make learning enjoyable from the very first lesson. You’ll build strong musical foundations, develop confidence and enjoy making steady progress in a friendly, encouraging environment where questions are always welcome.
