About Joyce
I have an AAS in Fashion Design from Houston Community College, with years of design studio experience working with small women-owned businesses, as well as experience as a children's sewing instructor at a local art school. I want to use my experience in sewing and passion for crafting to teach interested students. If you choose me, I can work with you on a project you have always wanted to complete or come up with a curriculum based on your interests and goals. Sewing is fun and rewarding, but takes some patience. Grow in your sewing skills and don't wait. This is your opportunity.

Have you ever wanted to learn sewing or how to make your own clothes? It can be overwhelming to teach yourself, so learning from an experienced tutor can be helpful. Lessons are either virtual or in person. I teach young children to adults starting with any skill level.

Joyce altered my bridesmaid dress for a wedding and did a great job. She is easy to communicate with, friendly and hard-working. I would recommend her as a sewing teacher to anyone wanting to learn.
Joyce, has a wealth of knowledge with her unique real-world experience as a sewist and Small Business Owner. Her patience and willing to teach from the very basic core to reach goals is great. My Son has been taking classes with her and after every session no matter how much information he is more motivated to keep learning. I think her pace and level of teaching is great for him as a teenager. This has been a great skill development investment for my Son and what he wants to achieve. Her creative mindset and demeanor have been very helpful for my Son's learning process.
Joyce is very attentive to detail and patient. The quality of her work is above and beyond.
