Italian
I treat my classes as a conversation with the student. First identifying whatever is hindering a students progression and then breaking that down into manageable chunks until it can be dealt with. For example if a student had been asked to write a critical commentary of a sonnet we would read it together talking it over line by line. Then we would concentrate on any points of vocabulary or syntax that were hard to understand. Finally, we would work on the student writing the actual commentary.
