About Yagnesh
When I started secondary school, I was horrible at Maths. It wasn't until a new teacher had started teaching my class that I began to love maths. She broke down all the complexity and confusion surrounding maths and made it easy. It was almost like she just put on a pair of glasses that made me see things clearly. This was what inspired me to start teaching Maths.
I will make sure that you understand the topic by connecting the relevant dots! With Maths, we are always just building on what we have learnt before, so everything has to add up.
I have helped students who were failing to get the grades they want. I've been in your shoes so I know how it feels.

As Maths is an incredibly inter-related topic, I always ensure my students have a good understanding of the basics and spend time improving their knowledge and skills. I use inquiry based teaching to make my lessons interactive but also allows me to ensure they have understood the topic. I focus on creating personalised lessons that are designed to be enjoyable and informative.
My lessons are usually from 1-2 hours depending on the level of the student. A lesson will involve guided instructions, a lot of hands-on practice and verbal discussions. I also communicate with parents/guardians often to ensure we are doing the best for the student.
I have a Masters in Engineering from the University of Bristol. I have 5 years experience of tutoring and for 4 of those years I have been a classroom teacher as well. I normally teach KS3/KS4 students and have taught students from variety of backgrounds and learning needs.
