About Kiera
I have tutored for 10+ years, have taught for now 6 years, and continue to do both tutoring and teaching.
I have a special skill of creating assignments and creating ways to best explain concepts that are often shown in confusing ways.
This summer is a great example of what I can do. I had a student that began only knowing how to add simple numbers. At 3x a week in the summer, he went from that to learning his multiplication tables,decimals,fractions, etc. He went from being behind to being on track at his grade level.

I meet my students where they are to get them where they need.
So, each lesson really depends on each person.
On first visits I see what level your child is at and create a list of the main ideas/topics/skills they will need to reach where they need to be.
Based of that, a general lesson will consist of helping with any questions for homework or studying for tests, and then after that, working on strategies or improve areas of difficulties (OR if you prefer the other way, I am happy to do that too).
Your child will get a notebook from me that we will put information of what is learned that day as something they can use in the future for any questions they have on assignments and work.
