About Rosanna
Spanish has been an integral part of my life since childhood. I was born into a Hispanic family, and Spanish is my native language. I spent half of my life growing up in Puerto Rico, where I attended school and developed a strong foundation in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish in both academic and everyday settings. In addition to being a native speaker, I continue to use Spanish professionally in my career within the healthcare industry. As a tutor, I strive to create a supportive, patient, and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in their language skills.

- Currently my tutoring focus is for elementary and middle school students.
- For my tutoring sessions, I would first see what the student has difficulties with. I would then define it and explain it with examples and/or strategies (ex. pictures, etc.) depending on what it is. If I see that the student isn't grasping the concept after providing explicit instruction, then I would re-teach basic skills.
- Once I get insight into what the student is struggling with, I take my time with he/she, and search for all the possible ways/strategies that would assist me with more effectively helping the student understand the concept.
