About Yen-Chih Jim
With over six years of expertise as a dedicated violin teacher, Yen-Chih has cultivated an exceptional record of success. He works with students of all levels and ages, helping them to find their voice and creativity in music. Under his guidance, his students consistently triumph in violin competitions and have been accepted into the music-talented classes in his native Taiwan.
Yen-Chih has participated in various orchestra performances and toured extensively throughout Europe, North America, and Africa. He served as the second violin principal for the Asian Youth Orchestra for two years and toured throughout Asia. Lin's exceptional playing has also earned him invitations to several master classes with esteemed violinists such as Keng-Yuan Tseng, Nai-Yuan Hu, and Haik Kazazyan.
Born and raised in Taiwan, Lin began his musical journey at the age of 4 when he started playing percussion and piano, and later changed to violin at the age of 12. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Soochow University, where he studied with You-Yuan Chen and Hsiang-Chun Chien. Lin finished his master’s degree with a scholarship from the Manhattan School of Music, where he studied under the tutelage of Albert Markov.
