As a Certified TESOL/TEFL Instructor, I have also worked with students diagnosed with intellectual disabilities. Therefore, my typical lesson plan is modified as I use a variety of methods including learner-centered, content-focused, interactive, discussion, online teaching, demonstration, direct, communicative language teaching (CLT), task-/project-/inquiry-based learning, total physical response (TPR), and eclectic approach. My typical lesson plan includes identifying learning objectives and steps to achieve them including practice and breaking them down into smaller sections. I can work with all kinds of students as I have an extensive experience in education and TESOL/TEFL teaching.
