About Andrew
My name is Andrew Dalton, and I've wanted to be a teacher for all my life. My grandmother was a teacher, my mother is a teacher and my sister is a teacher so you could say it's in the blood at this point.
I also want to help students with SEN difficulties achieve the utmost they can in life, having dealt with SEN difficulties all through my life. I feel this gives me a solid insight into various teaching strategies and how they actually affect those they are made for.
For reference, I have hearing difficulties, dyspraxia and other SEN considerations. I feel this has afforded me a level of patience not typically found in other teachers.

As previously mentioned, I have experience teaching Irish from working with children of all ages, from primary school up to the higher end of secondary school.
When it comes to me lessons, I am a firm believer of language acquisition through speech, as through speaking a language we grow to understand the nuances of it.
I would also give context to whatever topic we'd be studying as it is the context that aids in greater understanding, as opposed to what is done in schools where teachers, for whatever reason, tend not to do so.
