About Jess
I am passionate about coming alongside young people and helping to build up their belief in their own abilities. I understand that school can be overwhelming or stressful at times and therefore understand how important it is to have a tutor who is patient, understanding, and encouraging. I will always start by establishing what ways you work best, and what areas you want to work on. Together I like to make a plan for the lessons so you always know what we are going to look at. I have had experience of working with young people for nearly 5 years and love working with and supporting them.

I have been tutoring for over 7 months alongside my degree, from which I have now graduated. I like to tailor each lesson depending on the individual's needs, learning styles and abilities. Whether that is more interactive and visual lessons using sources, mind maps or images to help those who learn better visually, or going through a practice paper together if exam help is what you need. Above all I want my students to feel comfortable and relaxed in the lesson, so they know its okay to give things a go even if they arent sure and Ican encourage them to build up their confidence. Lessons are typically 55 minutes but this can be discussed.
