About Maddy
I am a first year electrical engineering student who went to a top Birmingham school with experience working with 7 to 14 year olds. I have previous experience tutoring the 11+, KS3 maths and KS4/KS5 computer science and physics. Logical thinking skills are key for the 11+ and all of my tutoring experience feature these heavily. Having passed the 11+ myself I am in the perfect position to tutor others.

My teaching method is student led - we will work to identify problem topics initially and I then use a mixture of talking through theory, step by step example and past paper questions and finally past paper questions that the student does but I may aid with if they get stuck.
For 11+ students I chiefly tutor year 5 students but will do work with year 3/4 as well. I look at both Non-verbal and verbal reasoning as well as maths. Towards September exams I will get students to do practice papers so they have experience of doing them under exam conditions. For younger students my tutoring aims to create a solid foundation to build 11+ skills on as they get older.
I do lessons via zoom so that I can see students face to face and share PowerPoints, papers or my working. If you don't have zoom I am happy to send information on how to use and set it up before lessons.
