About Achilleas
Welcome! My name is Achilleas, and I am a professional Greek Traditional Dance teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience. I hold a specialisation in Greek Traditional Dance from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, one of Greece's leading universities.
Throughout my career, I have taught in cultural associations and organisations across Greece, as well as in Greek community schools and cultural groups in London. My experience has allowed me to work with students of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to experienced dancers.
I believe that every student can learn to dance with the right guidance, encouragement, and structured teaching. My lessons are professional, friendly, and tailored to each student's goals, whether you want to explore Greek culture, improve your technique, prepare for a performance, or simply enjoy learning traditional dances.
I am committed to providing authentic, high-quality instruction in a welcoming environment where every student feels confident, supported, and motivated to succeed. I look forward to helping you discover the richness and joy of Greek traditional dance.

My teaching approach is based on creating a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment where students develop both confidence and a genuine appreciation for Greek culture. Every lesson combines practical dance instruction with the history, rhythm, and traditions behind each dance, helping students understand not only how to dance but also why these dances are an important part of Greek heritage.
I adapt my teaching methods to the age, experience, and goals of each student or group. I use clear demonstrations, repetition, and constructive feedback to ensure steady progress while keeping classes enjoyable and interactive.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although 90-, and 120-minute sessions are also available.
I hold a specialisation in Greek Traditional Dance from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and have over 20 years of teaching experience in dance associations, cultural organisations throughout Greece, and Greek community schools and cultural groups in London.
My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers, and adults, from complete beginners to advanced dancers. I also teach school groups, university societies, community organisations, performance teams, and anyone wishing to reconnect with their Greek heritage or learn authentic Greek traditional dances.
