About Joanna
I Graduated from Bath Spa University with a BA (Hons) Degree in Music. I have been teaching flute, voice and piano, both privately and through County Councils for over 20 years, as well as providing classroom tuition as a supply teacher in schools across the South West, being a Musical Director for children and adult choirs, and providing tuition in music theory, music aural and GCSE music.
I teach the following syllabus (for those who wish to take exams): ABRSM, Trinity and Rock School.
I have performed flute and piccolo in various orchestras and ensembles for concert performances, operas and musicals as well as solo recitals in competitions, festivals and master classes across the South East and South West of the UK.
In 2004, I studied voice and Jazz flute and performed as a guest flautist and singer for a jazz trio and a folk rock group, as well as singing classical soprano in choirs, and performing in operas and musical theatre at various venues across the South East and South West of the UK.
As well as teaching and performing, I have also been involved with Arts Administration, Arts Marketing, Concert Management and Stage Management for various orchestras, festivals and venues.

My name is Joanna Hadden (BA (Hons) Mus, Dip Mus), I am a professional flautist and singer and an accomplished pianist, with over 20 years teaching experience.
I teach instrumental lessons on Flute, Piccolo, Recorder, Fife, Singing, Keyboard and Piano from beginner through to professional, from age 5 through to adult. I also provide tuition for Music Theory, Music Aural and GCSE Music.
My aim is to make music enjoyable and accessible for all ages and abilities.
Using musical skills to strengthen communication, improve co-ordination, build confidence, aid writing and drawing abilities, as well as developing imagination and cognitive skills.
I teach a range of styles such as Classical, Folk, Jazz, Pop and Rock, Musical Theatre and Opera. For those wishing to take exams, I use the ABRSM, Trinity and Rock School syllabus depending on which is best for each individual pupil.
I love having music in my life and get great satisfaction from helping others to find the enjoyment in it too.
