About Chris

I am an industrial designer with 5+ years of experience working across large scale projects such as facades right down to small electrical component design. I run my own design business designing and fabricating lighting and furniture and have been a tutor at QCA on the Gold Coast for several years. I have tutored and lectured at the university level to over 600 students over the years to students with a broad range of skill sets. Being able to adapt to the different skill levels to make sure everyone who is willing to learn can build and grow their skills in design so as to prepare themselves for the working industry or to prepare for university and further education.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching is very practice and hands on. I will bring students along on a journey as I fabricate my own projects and include other examples of projects I have worked on. Having real world practice and understanding was one of the only aspects I missed out on at uni and is the only thing that helped me to grow as an industrial designer.
