About Stella
With over 5 years of professional vocal coaching, I am committed to helping singers develop a technically solid and emotionally compelling voice. I work with a wide range of students—from young singers preparing for school auditions and college vocal majors honing their skills, to adult learners reigniting their passion for singing, and experienced artists looking to refine their technique. My lessons focus on core vocal fundamentals: mastering breath control through diaphragmatic support, fostering healthy vocal fold closure, optimizing resonance and tone quality, and refining pitch accuracy. However, technical excellence is just one part of a great performance; I prioritize helping students interpret songs with expressive phrasing, dynamic variation, and emotional storytelling that captivates audiences. Technology plays a vital role in my studio, where I use recording and playback to offer immediate, clear feedback, piano accompaniment and backing tracks to support pitch and rhythm, and apps for ear training and rhythm development to keep students engaged. I also encourage creativity through songwriting and improvisation, helping singers find their unique artistic voice. My repertoire instruction is diverse, covering pop, jazz, musical theater, R&B, and contemporary styles, all carefully tailored to each student’s voice and artistic goals. Additionally, I prepare students for auditions, live shows, and recording projects, providing coaching on stage presence, performance confidence, managing anxiety, and vocal health. I aim to create a positive, motivating space where singers feel empowered to develop their full vocal and artistic potential.

Teaching voice is one of the most intimate and rewarding experiences—because every voice is personal, and every student brings a story. Over the past 5 years, I’ve guided vocalists through the process of transforming their voices into instruments of strength, nuance, and expression. We begin with the fundamentals: posture, breath support, vocal onsets, tone clarity, and pitch stabilization. As technique becomes more comfortable, we shift our focus to musicality—phrasing, dynamics, rhythm, storytelling, and style-specific interpretation. I work with singers in pop, musical theater, indie, folk, and acoustic rock, and I adapt my teaching to fit each student’s vocal character and artistic vision. Students receive warm-up plans, guided listening assignments, recording projects, and feedback protocols that help them engage with their growth outside of the lesson. For those preparing for auditions, recordings, or performances, I provide coaching on everything from song arrangement and cuts to stage presence and mindset under pressure. Vocal health education is a constant throughout our journey—we discuss vocal anatomy, safe belting, maintenance strategies, and how to stay resilient through busy singing seasons. Our lessons are a collaboration, a safe space where students can experiment, make mistakes, and find their sound with honesty and joy. I value progress over perfection, process over product, and authenticity over imitation. Whether you’re a new singer, a lifelong learner, or a performer preparing for the next big step, I’m here to support your growth with skill, heart, and purpose.
