About Sandra
Reading sheet music and complex tabs is a skill I help you navigate with ease. You might be an adult looking for a new hobby or a kid preparing for formal grade exams. My background includes 13 years of performing and teaching diverse styles. I enjoy working with intermediate players who want to refine their electric technique or strumming patterns.
Dealing with lead guitar requires patience and specific finger placement exercises. I have taught a wide variety of students over these 2 decades. My own roots are in popular music from the Queensland Conservatorium.
Whether you play for fun or want to get serious, I am here to guide you. I am a native Spanish speaker who keeps the rhythm going during every single practice. Flamenco and folk music still influence how I approach teaching the fretboard today.

Starting with a warm-up helps us align our rhythm before we touch the guitar. If you have a specific song request, I will turn it into a simplified arrangement just for you. Balancing theory with practical application remains the core of my teaching style.
My degree in popular music informs the way I break down complex chord shapes into manageable parts. We spend time on lead lines and strumming patterns to build your confidence as a player. Because I have 13 years of experience, I know how to spot technical hurdles before they become habits. You will find that my approach is steady and encouraging throughout the hour.
Progress is inevitable when we focus on the music you actually enjoy playing. You will leave the room feeling ready to perform.
