About Michelle
Initial meetings allow us to assess your current skill level and set realistic goals for your progress. We will look at your comfort with the fretboard and identify any gaps in your knowledge.
My 13 years of experience have taught me how to adjust the pace for kids, absolute beginners, and returning learners. We work on blues progressions and electric technique by breaking them into small segments.
You will learn the nuances of reading tabs and how to execute barre chords without tension. Songwriting sessions are available once you have a firm grasp of the basics.
My degree from Guildhall informs the way I explain complex musical relationships. I provide free chord charts and tab sheets shared after each class to assist your independent study. Blues progressions and electric technique are the core components of the curriculum I offer to my students. My background involves training as a Voice graduate from Guildhall and performing for 12 years as a vocalist. This journey helped me develop a unique perspective on how to teach guitar to 228 students.
Reading tabs and mastering barre chords are essential skills that I break down into manageable steps. Songwriting is encouraged once the foundational elements are firmly established.
My approach is supportive yet honest regarding the effort required to improve. I have coached 228 students to reach their personal goals on the instrument. Expect direct feedback that keeps you moving towards your objectives. I am confident that consistent practice will produce results.
