About Richard
I have been playing guitar for over 30 years, initially taking Classical grades before moving onto electric guitar and studying at The Guitar Institute (1994, Acton, London) where I studied with renowned guitarists such as Dave Kilminster (Roger Waters) and Shaun Baxter (Guitar Techniques instructor). I have also studied modern acoustic fingerstyle guitar with Thomas Leeb, Jon Gomm, Stuart Ryan and Derrin Nauendorf so I am well equipped to help you learn the style of music YOU want to learn.
I have helped students pass their BTEC music performance modules, Rockschool grades and RGT exams. I have taught classes for New College Nottingham, Bluecoat Beechdale and various primary and secondary schools across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. I also have played 100's of concert's across the country over the last 20 years, from small intimate "Pub" gigs to festival stages playing a range of music from Folk, Rock, Balkan and Acoustic fingerstyle.

I can provide Electric and Acoustic guitar tuition from beginner to advanced and teach students from age 7 to 70+. I am DBS checked and currently teach in schools across Nottingham and Derbyshire. I base all my lessons around the needs of the student and will help you realize your potential on the guitar.
