"How did I end up teaching hundreds of guitarists after all these years? It began with a fascination for the intricacies of fingerpicking and the way a simple melody could transform into a full composition. Since those early days, I have refined my craft while working with 246 students, ranging from absolute beginners to advanced players seeking new techniques.
My approach emphasises the mechanics of barre chords and chord transitions alongside the creative freedom found in improvisation. I thrive when helping returning learners regain their technique or assisting self-taught musicians in building a formal structure for their practice. My teaching highlights acoustic technique and rhythm guitar, ensuring that you understand the foundation of every song. Songwriting serves as the backbone of many lessons, allowing us to weave technical skills into your own musical identity.
I prioritise ear training so you can hear the music you want to play before your fingers even touch the strings. I love seeing the progress my students make as they gain confidence in their soloing abilities.
