About Robert
I am Physics University Graduate who has a passion for music and guitar playing. I began playing at the age of 11. I received musical theory education in High school as well as being in a number of bands throughout the years and played as a session guitarist on a number of albums. I am totally self-taught which I believe massively aids me in helping less developed players.

I think the most important part of being a good guitar teacher is understanding why the student wants to play the instrument, what do they hope to get out of it. So many people take up the instrument but loose interest relatively quickly. By finding out why the student wants to play and therefore finding out what their goals with the instrument are, I know what direction we need to head in to make sure the student gets satisfaction from the instrument and achieves what they want. I think one on one sessions either once or twice a week for a couple of hours are the most beneficial type of lessons. I also think it’s very important that the lessons don’t become a chore for the student, but something they look forward to.
