About Simon
Few things excite me as much as sharing knowledge, and I feel this really comes across in the energy I bring to my lessons. My musical background centres around blues, funk, jazz and soul. I have also had some experience teaching rock, classical and folk. I also have extensive knowledge of music production if this is ever something for which tuition is required.

I strive to adapt my teaching to fit the student, with an emphasis on generating the same inspiration and excitement I feel about the instrument in my students. My focus is on developing the knowledge of the neck and music theory, which are necessary to compose and improvise. However, I am more than happy to assist students in learning and practising cover songs or pieces and follow the directions their own inspiration takes them.
I am a BA graduate with 5 years of experience teaching a range of ages from 5 to 55. The majority of my teaching has been with children between 8 and 15 years old.
My usual lesson plan involves one hour of tuition per week, but I am always happy to accommodate the needs and schedules of my students.
