About Oliver
I am a musician who has been playing both piano and guitar from a very young age. I completed grade 5 in piano and grade 8 in guitar around 10 years ago and have been playing and developing my own style since then. I went on to study Professional Musicianship at the Bristol Institute of Modern Music where I gained plenty of practical experience and really expanding my theory knowledge. I have been in numerous bands and gigged and recorded around the country, all while holding down a full time job.

I like to base my lessons around the needs and desires of the student to keep it interesting and help them to learn what they want to learn, not to stick to a rigid structure of learning that may not keep them interested. This rigidity is what put me off further piano grades many years ago - this is why I strive to keep it interesting, modern and relevant. I take particular interest in learning and teaching current chart hits and frequently record acoustic piano and guitar covers of popular songs past and present.
