Hey! My name is Ben, and I have been a guitarist for 16 years.
Student-led approach
I want you to get the absolute most out of taking guitar lessons, because I know you are investing in yourself. I take time to understand my students and what particular focus they have for improving. I won't ask you to stick to a particular practice routine but I will adapt and cater to your needs, whether that's learning riffs, improvising or even composing!
Jamming and theory
When I was 10 years old I had several guitar teachers, but with my favourite was not someone I thought of as a tutor, but someone to turn up with every week and jam! I want this experience for my students, because music makes us feel alive and I want to teach you to love playing your favourite songs, or even your own. I will guide you through some basic theory to help you with your playing, but I won't overwhelm you or make you repeat boring exercises over and over again!
I can also teach you the building blocks of music production. I teach all genres of pop, rock & metal and on extended range guitars too.
