About George

I'm a 30-year-old musician living in London, and I've been playing guitar for 14 years.

Over that time, I've played in bands, written and recorded music for other artists, and spent the past 8 years producing both my own music and other people's.

I also play piano and violin, which have given me a broader understanding of music and how different instruments fit together.

Music has been a huge part of my life for a long time, and I really enjoy sharing what I've learnt and helping others find their own way with their instrument.

About the lesson

The most important thing when learning guitar is to love the music you're working on. Every minute of learning and practice should feel like you're moving towards somewhere you want to be – nothing just for practice's sake.

I've been playing guitar for 14 years, and I love helping people get to where they want to be on the instrument. We can work on anything from basic chords and strumming to complex fingerpicking patterns, building the understanding and confidence to play the music you love. It all depends on you and your goals.

Something I found really valuable as I progressed with guitar was beginning to understand *why* things sound the way they do, and developing an intuition for music that connects what you play with what you hear. Guitar is a great way to get your head around music theory, and we can explore it in a way that's non-academic, easy to follow, and gives you the freedom to explore and experiment with your playing.

Above all, I want you to leave each lesson feeling
