About Kahori
I am a classically trained harpist with over twelve years of playing experience and an LTCL diploma in harp. I have taken part in overseas music competitions and performances in Hungary, Korea, and Hong Kong, which has given me valuable international performance experience. I am patient, organised, and committed to teaching with clarity and care, creating a supportive environment where students can build strong technique and musical confidence.

My harp lessons are tailored to each student’s age, level, and musical goals. I focus on building strong technique, good posture, and musical understanding from the start, while keeping lessons enjoyable and motivating. Concepts are explained clearly and demonstrated in a practical way, with plenty of guided playing and feedback to help students progress with confidence. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although shorter lessons are available for younger beginners. Lessons usually include technical exercises, repertoire work, and musical expression, with guidance on effective practice between lessons. For students preparing for exams or performances, lessons also cover interpretation, performance confidence, and practice strategies. I hold an LTCL diploma in harp and have over 12 years of playing experience. This allows me to support students with both technical development and musicality, whether they are learning for enjoyment or working towards graded exams. Lessons are suitable for children, teenagers, and adult learners, from complete beginners to more advanced students. I aim to create a calm, supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged, comfortable asking questions, and motivated to enjoy their progress on the harp.

Been having harp lessons with Kahori for a bit now and she’s ace. Super patient, proper easy to get on with and she explains things so it actually sinks in, even when I’m being a bit slow with it. Lessons are always chilled, no pressure, and she gives you loads of confidence to crack on and enjoy it.
