About Milena
Hi!
My name is Milena Castaneda! I have been playing the violin for 15+ years now since I was 11 years old. I have performed in middle and high school, as well as my undergrad. I have played in musicals, competitions, and as a traveling violinist with my orchestra.
I do not have a degree in music, but in Social Work. I have continued to practice and play in my free time at home since graduating and wish to be able to provide beginning education to others now!

Teach beginning violin for all ages. Focus on basics, string theory, and fiddle. Typical lesson plan is to learn how to read a line of music, while teaching about notes, chords, bowing, and playing. What sets me apart from other tutors is that I have a degree in Social Work, so I am able to tailor to other's needs and provide a tailored education plan as needed.
