I have been playing the violin since I was 3 years old, and I attended University on a full violin scholarship. I have taught private violin and piano lessons for 17 years, and I love to teach all age

About Rachel
Music is the biggest part of my life. I believe that it connects all of us in more ways than we realize, so I consider it a privilege to be able to pass on this skill set to other people. I am even in the process of teaching my two young boys how to play violin and piano. They are very young, so we only practice a little bit each day, but every day, they are able and willing to do a little bit more than the day before. Being able to play an instrument like the violin very well is truly an irreplaceable gift. There is something so satisfying and rewarding about being able to learn a difficult concerto and then play it immaculately.

I generally teach these Suzuki method, and what I love about that program is the focus on love. The creator of the program even wrote a book about nurturing students with love first. That is the key to building a successful foundation in music. I also believe in taking my time and learning things the right way and having fun while we do it. I believe music is the spark of life.
