About UDAY
I am Uday Kangutkar, Tabla visharad from Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidhyalaya with 35 years of teaching experience. I have been very fortunate in receiving my music training from my late guru Pandit Baliram Patange of Mumbai. I have performed solo and accompanied many distinguished artists.

I teach students starting with posture, fingering, basic strokes and tabla language. I teach classical music, bhajans, folk music and film sangeet, depending on the students' understanding, advancement, and capabilities. I provide face-to-face instruction at my home, or at the student's home and also online.

Perfect! Uday Ji is an experienced teacher with a firm grounding in his craft. He learned tabla at a very young age under the well-known guru, Pandit Bali Ram Patangey in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Uday Ji's experience takes him from the USA to Mumbai and he has embraced all the modern techniques of teaching in addition to his Gurukul-style training! He has an exceptional ability to find the student's trouble points in learning and provide the correct remedy for it. I feel blessed to be his student.
