• When did you develop an interest in your subject and in private tutoring?

  From a very young age of 6years i already started watching maths shows on tv, also my dad always took time to teach me and answer my maths questions. This interest continued and my parents ensured I never failed maths by always providing tutors for me after school. I started to develop interest in private tutoring when I watched a couple of maths tutorials on youtube and facebook.

• Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

  I teach maths, physics, further maths, drawing and HSE/Nebosh. I especially love problems in algebra and simple physics topics like motion. I am not a great fan of geometry but I can always crack them when I meet them.

• Did you have any role models? Perhaps a teacher that inspired you?

  Yes, I have a couple of role models, My Father, my mother both of whom are scholars, my secondary school maths teachers Mr Royal Nakpodia and Mr Obi November (RIP). Online i always watch channels like PreMaths, Esomnofu Online Maths, Tambuwal Maths Class and many others.

• What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

  1. Being friendly
  2. Adequate knowledge of the subject

• Could you share a phrase related to your subject or your student days?

  Maths is Easy, Maths is fun.

• Did you face any difficulties at school or university?

  Yes, I had difficulty in physics because getting a good physics teacher at the time was challenging for my school, but I eventually overcame this when I completed my masters in engineering program.

• Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general, an element of this particular subject, or something completely different?

  I love teaching because it has proved to be a great form of expression and outlet for me. I also am passionate about other things than teaching such as music (i sing a lot), art (painting, sketching, graphic and digital art), I love to travel and cook.

• What makes you a Superprof?

  What makes me a Superprof is the way I bring the subjects to life in the minds of my students. After a session with me you no longer fear any subject because I make it seems doable. I have a high success rate with my students in their exams.
