I feel students learn better if focus is on their passions/interests. I prefer to facilitate learning basics through having fun, with aforementioned focus in mind. Call it "edu-tainment". This usually establishes a happy, relaxed & enjoyable learning environment.

Details
If working with an advanced student, who is doing assignments etc, I would charge $37.50 for hourly rate.
Would also prefer to have a one hour 5 or 10 lesson commitment, 50% of which would be paid upfront, after initial free lesson.
