About Leon
With over 30 years of dance and professional performing experience in the hip-hop genre, you can rest assured that you are learning from someone who not only knows what they are talking about, but also possesses the patience and wisdom to help you learn in a supportive fun enjoyable environment.
Originally from Da Lou (St. Louis Missouri). Now having been in Los Angeles for many years, I have a lot of friends and associates that span every major artist From Michael Jackson and Beyoncé, Missy Elliott and usher to *NSYNC and Backstreet Boys, Lady Gaga and Shakira. Depending on schedules, who knows who we can bring into class to help show you how they moved on stages with these celebrities. And yes, I too have been privileged to be on these stages as well as music videos, TV Shows, Commercials, Dance Shows, Tours, and Professional Sports Events.
Over the years I have been able to teach dance for approximately about 5-7 years so I’m not new to this but definitely true to this. My focus in a classroom setting for my classes is fun laughter and being comfortable and confident in expressing yourself through the art and language of dance in a hip-hop style as well as developing a respect and appreciation for the history of the culture in which Hip-Hop dance style was created and who many of those creators are.

Whether you are new to dance or advanced, want to have fun learning something new or brush up on what you’ve done before. You’re going to have fun in this class. From old school 70’s funk to Golden era 80’s Hip Hop- to Classic 90’s and modern 2000’s we will dance to it all. From solo moves to group collaboration, cultural dances to genre dances you will touch them all.
