About George

I have performed music all over the UK and Europe.

Alongside my performing I have been a teacher for 25 years.
My experience covers 1-1 instrumental teaching, lecturing music theory, and teaching in classrooms in secondary and primary schools.

About the lesson

I teach KS3, GCSE, A Level Music.
I use modelling and practical examples to engage learners.
A step by step approach to music teaching, 'chunking down' music into parts to progress.
I will adapt learning to address the strengths of the learner, with regular check-in on progress to target areas of improvement.
I ensure that students gain ownership of their learning.
Use a clear 'what, how and why' approach to each new topic.
