About Amie
I studied a Pharmacy degree, which was very chemistry and biology based. I studied biology chemistry and ICT at A level. I am currently completing a PGCE course to be a science teacher in high school so understand how students best learn.

I follow rosenshines 10 principles of pedagogy very closely over all. In science I follow structures within my lessons. All my lessons include good explanation of the subject knowledge, questioning to check students understanding of the learning, modelling how to answer exam style questions together teacher and student and then finally allowing student to do deliberate practice, to practice the learning.

Amie has a supportive and creative approach to learning. She is able to break down concepts into simple terms and has a sound grasp of appropraiate study skills and revision techniques. She can effectively teach science with chemistry as a specialism for GCSE and A level, but is also compentent in GCSE biology.
