About Jamel
"Sitting at my mixing desk 13 years ago, I realised that technical settings often muffled the raw emotion of a song. I earned an MA Songwriting from Bath Spa University to bridge that gap between art and engineering. My approach keeps things chilled and student-led so you remain the architect of your own sound.
I have taught 57 students how to make their home studio a place of real creative freedom. Teaching DAW fundamentals in Logic Pro, Ableton, or FL Studio is my daily rhythm.
I love how simple it is to explain signal flow once you stop overthinking it. Watching a track come together for the first time is genuinely my favourite part of this job. It is rare to find a technical process that feels this rewarding."

"You will hear your own track snap into focus when the kick drum finally hits the centre of the mix. Releasing your music requires a mix of creative vision and precise technical execution.
I guide adult learners and hobbyists through the murky waters of gain staging and bus processing. With 13 years of experience, I know exactly which EQ moves clean up a muddy recording.
We can look at sidechain compression or mastering basics whenever you feel ready to finalise a project. Exporting your first release-ready file feels like a massive achievement.
You will learn to handle group processing without burying the original performance. It is always a pleasure to see someone turn their home studio into a high-end production space. You might want to grab your favourite coffee and bring a laptop to the next session."
