About Ollie
I have a first class bachelor degree in English and German Literature. I am a qualified teacher of secondary English. I teach ages 11-18, including GCSE language and GCSE and A-level English Literature.
I am an experienced classroom practitioner, used to working with a range of abilities. and I am the head of the English department at my school. I am also a trained AQA English Language examiner.

As a trained AQA examiner and a qualified English teacher of eight years, I know the skills and tips necessary to succeed at both GCSE and A-level, as well as the skills required for the KS3 journey leading up to this.
I am a friendly and understanding individual (and even have student-voted awards to prove it!), and am able to adapt my teaching style to suit your learning pace and needs. I can help you develop your ability to understand and analyse the nuance of language, enhancing your chances of success in both English Literature and Language. English is a very rewarding subject when taught well, and I am keen for everyone not only to survive this core subject, but rather thrive!
