About Tracey
I am a former nurse with more than 30 years of experience in the health industry, and every year of that journey has shaped the teacher I am today. Working on the front line taught me compassion, resilience, and the power of believing in people even when they don’t yet believe in themselves. Those lessons never left me. They guide everything I do as an FE lecturer and Skills Development Coach, supporting young people as they discover their potential and take their first steps into the world of health and further education.
I chose to teach because I understand how life-changing the right learning environment can be. As a nurse, I supported people through some of the hardest moments of their lives. As a teacher, I get to support young people through some of the most important moments of theirs. I believe every learner deserves someone who sees their ability, listens to their worries, and helps them grow with confidence and purpose.
Teaching 16–19-year-olds inspires me every day. I love watching students arrive unsure of themselves, then slowly stand a little taller, think a little deeper, and realise they are capable of far more than they imagined. Whether they want a future in health, social care, apprenticeships, or higher education, I want them to know this: they are worthy of success, and they have something important to contribute to the world.
My classes are not just about knowledge; they are about belief, resilience, and opportunity. I teach because I want to pass on everything I’ve learned — the practical skills, the human skills, and the life lessons that only decades in the health sector can teach you. I want to create a space where learners feel supported, respected, and motivated to push beyond their comfort zone.
Most of all, I teach because I care.
I care about young people finding their path.
I care about giving them skills that make a difference.
I care about helping them step into their futures with confidence, purpose, and pride.

I deliver engaging, confidence-boosting lessons for 16–19-year-olds studying Health and FE subjects. With 30 years’ experience in the health industry and a background as a former nurse, FE lecturer, and Skills Development Coach, I bring real-world insight into every session.
My teaching style is practical, supportive, and learner-focused. I use clear explanations, real health scenarios, and interactive activities to build strong knowledge and essential study skills. Lessons typically last 60–90 minutes and are tailored to each learner’s level, goals, and learning style.
I’m fully qualified (BA Hons, two Master’s degrees, PGCE/PCET) and experienced in helping young people succeed in Health, Health & Social Care, and skills-based pathways. My aim is simple: to help every learner grow in confidence, competence, and readiness for the world of work or further study.
