About Deborah
Hello! I’m Deborah, a Health Psychology MSc graduate (BPS accredited) with a BSc in Psychology (First Class), and I’m currently training to become a Health & Wellbeing Coach. I have experience mentoring young people, teaching online learning groups, and supporting students of all ages with assignments, exam prep, and study skills. I love teaching because I believe that learning should be both enjoyable and empowering. My goal is to help students understand complex concepts, build confidence, and achieve their academic goals in a way that is practical, interactive, and fun. Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading, travelling, and exploring new cultures, which helps me bring creativity and curiosity into my lessons. I use a personalised approach, tailoring lessons to your pace and learning style, combining explanations, real-life examples, exercises, and discussion. Whether you are studying GCSE, A-Level, or undergraduate Psychology, I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where you feel confident to ask questions, explore ideas, and reach your potential. I focus on making complex topics clear, practical, and fun. I tailor lessons to each student’s learning style and pace, combining explanations, examples, discussions, and exercises to reinforce understanding. Techniques & Methodology: - Concept mapping and visual aids to simplify theories - Real-life examples to connect theory to practice - Step-by-step guidance for assignments and essays - Exam and revision strategies, including practice questions - Lessons are interactive and enjoyable, making learning engaging and memorable Lesson Length: Typically 60 minutes, but flexible depending on student needs (30–90 minutes available). Qualifications & Experience: - MSc in Health Psychology (BPS accredited) - BSc in Psychology (First Class) - Currently training to become a Health & Wellbeing Coach - Experience mentoring young people, teaching online groups, and supporting students of all ages with assignments, exam prep, and study strategies. - Have a published health psychology paper on vaccine hesitancy in PLOS one.
