About Maya
I am a qualified Hebrew teacher with over 15 years of experience and a strong academic background in linguistics and Hebrew studies. I hold a B.A. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and an M.A. from Paris VIII University.
I have worked with students in different countries and educational settings, which allows me to adapt easily to diverse learning styles and expectations.

My lessons are structured, clear, and always adapted to your level, goals, and learning pace. I focus on helping you understand how Hebrew works, so you don’t need to rely on memorization.
A typical lesson combines practical speaking, reading, and clear grammar explanations, with real-life examples and gradual progression. I pay special attention to making each concept simple and accessible.
What makes my approach different is that I connect the Hebrew language with its deeper meaning. I guide students through biblical texts, helping them understand not only the words, but the logic, structure, and ideas behind them.
I also link Hebrew to Jewish traditions and identity, so the learning process becomes more meaningful and contextual, rather than purely technical.
My lessons are suitable for complete beginners, intermediate and advanced students, as well as for those preparing for Bar or Bat Mitzvah or exploring Hebrew from a cultural or religious perspective.
