About Destiny
Hi I’m destiny! And some things you should know about me are…
1. I like learning, If learning is fun! When I learn I don’t want to feel like a bunch of information is being forced inside of me I want to feel like when I learn I will actually remember and understand what I am learning and be engaged.
2. I like Greek mythology, music, sports(track and volleyball). I like learning about Volcanic eruptions, ocean facts(I’m in love with sharks), and space!
Last thing you should know about me is that I’ve tutored kids my age before so I guess you could say I have experience, but I’ve never done online tutoring so I’m still new to this! I want to make sure that I can build a relationship with students while also helping them learn and hopefully helping them grow!

Hello, I’m Jamie-Lyn Grant, but you can call me Destiny! I’m excited to start tutoring to share my knowledge, gain experience, and help others. My parents believe it’s a great way for me to gain experience and earn money in the process.
I originally wanted to teach my cousins and help them. To my surprise they would be my first students! I know that I’m young but that just means I have better experience and can better understand kids younger, or kids my age.
I’m 13 years old and in the 7th grade. I excel in math and history, and I’m in advanced math and on the honor roll. With practice and my aunt’s help, I’ve improved significantly in math and can teach various topics, including algebra, fractions, percents and more.
I also love U.S. history. Im knowledgeable when it comes to history because I like learning about the past, and the mistakes that those before us made so that we can be better.I’m available for tutoring sessions from 4:20 PM to 7:30 PM on weekdays and starting at 8:00 AM on weekends. My rate is $12 per hour.
As a Jamaican immigrant, I understand the challenges of school but believe in persistence. Thank you for considering me as your tutor!
