About Simon
I am a language enthusiast who started tutoring classmates in high school for English courses and then in cégep (college) for English, Spanish and French cégep courses. I started around 2004 and onwards until 2010.
After studying in the traditional academic path, in 2012 I decided to get private language lessons in Spanish, German and Haitian Creole. A year later, I decided to travel to Peru to keep improving my Spanish. I ended up living between Lima and Montreal until 2017.
To make a living there, I would give private language lessons mostly in English but also in French on a few occasions. When I came back to Québec in 2017, I continued to give private language lessons until now. However since the 2020 pandemic, online classes are a much more attractive option for students and it allows me to bring quality education to much more people than before.
I now have more than fifteen years of experience helping other language enthusiasts as well as goal-oriented professionals reach their language acquisition objectives, and if god wills it many more ahead of me.

The usual tutoring session goes as follows : The student has precise questions which I will help resolve. However, if the goal is to simply learn the language and get to an higher level of fluency, the process is a little different. We will first assess your level and your needs. Then we will establish a lesson plan to solidify what you have already learnt and to build on top of that. While the focus is always conversation oriented, I usually start a lesson with grammar notions followed by examples and exercises.
