Speaking from personal experience, I understand just how overwhelming and confusing things can seem when first trying to learn about the cryptocurrency space. The opportunities seem fanciful and the risks boundless. Perhaps it's better to just sit this one out.
After several years of patient learning, tireless research and quite a few hard lessons along the way, my mission is to help new participants seize the opportunities without getting burned. As a beginner, I longed for someone experienced to talk with, bounce ideas off, and offer sensible guidance, now I hope to become that person for you.
In my lessons, we'll take things slowly, understand the risks & rewards, and proceed with a rational mindset.
Using structured discussions, interactive activities, and dedicating plenty of time for questions & feedback, we will demystify the following conceptual questions:
What is a blockchain?
Where do cryptocurrencies derive their value?
What advantages do blockchains have over traditional systems?
What is Defi?
What is "proof of work" and how does it differ from "proof of stake" consensus?
Once the basics have been covered, we'll apply your growing knowledge to begin considering practical steps that you might consider as a potential cryptocurrency investor. These include:
Bitcoin: a long-term, emerging store of value?
Ethereum: the base layer money for a digital-native economy?
Stablecoins: a source of regular and passive yield?
I'm extremely passionate about cryptocurrencies, a strong believer in their capacity to do good in the world, and optimistic about their role in our future economy and society. Taking the time to understand these technologies has given me a real edge during the difficult past few years, and it will be a pleasure to share my knowledge with you.
