About Ryan
I am a high-achieving Math and Chemistry tutor for middle school and Cambridge IGCSE students, with a strong academic track record and a clear, structured teaching style.
My recent results include 95% in IGCSE Mathematics, Top 10 rankings in Physics and Year 11 Chemistry, and a Bronze Award in the New Zealand Chemistry Olympiad. I also study Biology and Mathematics one year ahead of my current level and will be joining an accelerated Physics programme in 2026, allowing me to teach content with strong subject depth and exam awareness.

I began tutoring in order to help breaking down complex concepts into clear, logical steps and helping students gain confidence in subjects they often find challenging. I focus on deep understanding, not memorisation, while still training students to perform strongly in exams.

I offer structured, high-quality tutoring in Mathematics and Chemistry for middle school and Cambridge IGCSE (IG) students.
Lessons focus on:

Typical Lesson Structure:
A standard 60-minute session usually includes:
-- Review of key concepts or previous work
--Clear, step-by-step explanation of new material
-- Guided practice with exam-style questions
-- Targeted feedback and correction of misconceptions
Notes & Homework:
Students will copy my handwritten notes during lessons, which are structured and exam-focused. These notes are sent to me after the session for checking and feedback.
Students receive weekly homework (30 minutes to 1 hour) to reinforce understanding and improve exam performance. Homework is reviewed carefully, with explanations provided where needed.
Experience:
I have two years of experience as a school tutor for both Mathematics and Chemistry, working with students of varying abilities and helping them improve both understanding and results.
