About Connor
I am a University of Auckland student completing a conjoint Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Science, disciplines that demand precision, critical thinking, and strong written communication. Through my academic journey, I have learned how to approach complex material methodically and translate it into clear, structured understanding.
I want to teach because I know how transformative the right guidance can be. My aim is to help students not only improve their grades, but develop the confidence, discipline, and independent thinking skills that will benefit them long-term. I take pride in being reliable, well-prepared, and genuinely invested in each student’s progress.

I take a structured and practical approach to tutoring, focusing on building genuine understanding rather than memorisation. I break complex concepts down into simple, logical steps and teach students how to think critically, structure answers effectively, and apply knowledge confidently in exams. My background as a University of Auckland Law and Environmental Science student has strengthened my analytical thinking and written communication skills, which I pass on to my students.
Lessons typically run for 60 minutes and are tailored to the individual student’s level and goals. I work with intermediate and secondary school students, particularly those studying NCEA English, Social Sciences, and essay-based subjects. I also support students who want to improve their writing structure, argument development, and exam technique.
My aim is not just to improve grades, but to build confidence and independent thinking.
