High school senior that has been a volunteer tutor for 7 years! I want to apply my skills to help students thrive.

About Victoria
Even though I’m only a senior, I’ve volunteered my tutoring abilities for 7 years. I was recruited by College Board a few months ago to tutor for the SAT and am now one of the top tutors in their nonprofit program among thousands.
In terms of academics, I have been an AP Scholar with Distinction since I was a sophomore, also being an IB Candidate and Dually enrolled in community college, so I am well-versed in a variety of challenging courses.
I am very motivated to provide the best tutoring possible because I have been doing it for free for so long out of the sole love for helping others improve that I hold. However, I need another source of income for me to be able to pay for college, so I am seeking to apply my skills— which tutoring is the one I excel at— in a place where I am rewarded monetarily to prevent my parents from having to dip into their savings.

I love seeing motivated students improve! I have tutored all kinds of students: those from every part of the United States, those from the other side of the world, those in elementary school, those who are now adults, those who struggle with simple arithmetic, and those who now attend top colleges like Stanford, Yale, UCLA, and Harvard. One thing they all had in common was the desire to improve in some area, and aiding them to reach their goals is always an honor. I am willing to fully commit to my tutee, as I am excited to see them succeed! To do this, I accumulate practice problems catered to a student’s specific needs during a session and make a point of respecting them, helping them stay motivated as they progress.
